WORLD'S HIGHEST PRECISION STAMP PRODUCTION
Royal Mail keeps their supremacy in Philately. To produce this Ten Pound stamp they innovated many technological devices, just to prevent forgeries Though the stamp is printed by Offset process but incorporated, braille, Special ink and Angle of two ellipticle holes (perforation). Some parts of its is visible under normal light and some under Ultra Violet Ray.
Des: B.Craddock, adapted Roundel Design Group, Granite paper, Colou used: Greenish grey, rosine, yellow, new blue, reddish violet, vermilion, violet, bright green and silver.
The paper used contains fluorescent coloured fibres which, together with the ink on the shield, react under U.V. light.
1) The silhouette of queen's head is printed with a special ink (may be anallin base metalic colour) which is optically variable.
2) The word TEN written in braille
3) There are ten horizontal lines from Britannia to the right edge of the stamp in grey colour. In fact these are not lines but these are types in lower case "ten pound" repeated continuously. In fact these are blotches of colour, as these types are so thin and microscopic.
4) The image of Britannia drawn in simple lines with various thickness, resembling to line engraving, printed in grey colour
5) At the top of Britannia the word TEN POUNDS repeated in regular pattern. in four colours (Golden yellow, Red, Violet and Blue), two slightly larger reapets printed in green
6) Ten Pounds in Florescent green colour.
7) Britannia's figure marred by repetition of 25 small 'x' arranged by 5 by 5 pattern.
8) Britannia's shield in bright yellow under Ultra Violet Ray
9)Ten Pounds becomes blue when viewed under Ultra Violet, because there is an overprinted ink that is not visible under regular light.
10) These elliptical perforation will be difficult to reproduced, as it was cut in a critical angle, Royal Mail Claimed. Perf is 15 by 14
11) Purple and bright red used along the bottom of stamp.
