The Vatican welcomes the appeal to return to taking care of the environment, launched by the United Nations General Assembly, which declared the years from 2021 to 2030 the United Nations Decade for the Restoration of Ecosystems. The Vatican postage stamp dedicated to the restoration of the Ecosystem, worth € 7.00, as well as being a collector's item or postage, will testify to a personal commitment to environmental protection. For the 45,000 Vatican stamps, 3.9 million polyester yarns were used, obtained from the recycling of 4000 600 ml plastic bottles, which is equivalent to 85 meters of stamp yarn and 8 stamps produced with each bottle.
