Rare and scarce MULE NOTE of India
Mule note- where one side of note is printed wrongly and reverse side correctly.
RBI Governor D Subbarao served as 22nd Governor of RBI from 5.9.2008 to 4.9.2013.
After that Raghuram Rajan took over from 5.9.2013.
Here's an opportunity to get a Rare and scarce error - precisely speaking as blunder error note printed by Dewas Printing press of RBI
This note with signature of (retired) Governor D Subbarao - issued in 2014. He was not the Governor in 2014.
How it happened- back image of note was printed with year 2014(year of printing) ( since 2005- it's mandatory to print issue year on all notes). But due to some oversight, they forget to change the front side signature panel where Governor's signature is printed in English and Hindi.
This goofup was noticed in 2014 when notes came in the market with retired Governor's signature.
Later, major quantity of notes were withdrawn from banks and RBI chests after this error was noticed.
But already some notes had entered in circulation.
Here one note is offered in UNC (uncirculated) condition.
Also the notes were demonitized by Government on 8.11.2016
2nd picture/video is of correct note issued in 2013 with signature of Raghuram Rajan - (this note is only for display)
Only error note is offered here.
Number of note may differ.
