Another unusual special cover from Kerala circle.
Made from real coir (obtained from husk of coconut)
This special cover is carried on a country boat ⛵, symbolising traditional transportation of coir industry raw material, and products through the backwaters of Alappuzha district in Kerala- a major centre of coir industry.
This special cover paper is blended with coir and is released from Vembanad Kayal Post office - where mail conveyance is still through country boats ⛵ .
