*Blue coloured Kurinji flowers bloom in the hills of Nilgiris (blue mountain- hence the name) once in 12 years
Last it bloomed in 2018,2006.
Because of there abundance and blue colour, the whole mountain looks blue in colour, hence these mountain are called Nilgiris.
